    Bandar tun razak tempat yang strategik di pinggir pusat bandar kuala lumpur. merupakan penempatan berpusat pertama di kuala lumpur pada tahun 1970an. ia merupakan pemindahan daripada kawasan rumah setinggan yang dahulunya terletak di kawasan yang sekarang ini telah menjadi kawasan taman permaisuri. bandar tun razak pada mulanya di kenali sebagai 'kampong baru konggo', telah dirasmikan oleh Tun Mahathir Mohammad pada tahun 1983, dimana sebuah plat bersejarah telah didirikan dijalan bangsawan. banda tun razak telah beberapa kali dikatakan akan dirobohkan kerana dikatakan sudah 'usang' dan tidak selamat. tetapi kerana sentimen melayu yang kuat disini parti pemerintah dikatakan terpaksa 'melepaskan' bandar tun razak, walaupun nilai tanah disini secara perbandingannya adalah mahal. pada mac 2008 tsunami politik malaysia juga telah membadai parlimen bandar tun razak dengan kekalahan calon MCA dato' tan chai ho yang sebelum itu telah menjadi ahli parlimen bandar tun razak selama 4 penggal. dato' tan chai ho telah kecundang kepada bekas CEO Guthrie iaitu tan sri khalid ibrahim
