This college once had a "Master" (Principal) by the name of Wirakarnain Bin Sani who was infamous for allegations of corruption and abuse of power. His right-hand-man was Roslan Bin Salikhon. They had a few other staff in UM who helped them in all their schemes. Both Wirakarnain Bin Sani and Roslan Bin Salikhon are no longer needed in UM.
Wirakarnain Bin Sani was said to have been investigated by the Anti-Corruption Agency (BPR) twice during his questionable tenure as a UM staff. However, due to the help of well-connected UMNO politicians, he is still living as a free man until today. It is widely known that Wirakarnain Bin Sani uses UMNO politicians for his own personal gains. However, due to his own tarnished image, he automatically tarnishes the image of such politicians too. Such politicians do not seem to realize that Wirakarnain Bin Sani is a liability.
One of his usual activities is to compile a list of UM staff and students who are so-called "Opposition" members. The list would actually contain the names of his personal enemies, so they are not necessarily "Opposition" members at all! Wirakarnain Bin Sani would then present the list to UMNO politicians, so that "due action" would be taken against the names in the list. Some UMNO politicians actually fall for his trick, and so the livelihood of innocent people would also be affected.
Wirakarnain Bin Sani is also known as someone who asks for huge sums of money in return for political favours. Acting as a broker or gatekeeper for certain UMNO politicians, be prepared to part with a lot of money if you want him to whisper your proposals to politicians. Even then, do not expect him to actually convey your proposals the way he promises to, because he might just take your ideas and claim them as his own.
Most UM students who knew Wirakarnain Bin Sani in person would most probably remember him as a nice person, but most would disagree once they get to see his true colours. Not many students had the opportunity to see his true colours because he knew how to hide them.

I happened to pass by the Loke Mansion last night and my, oh my... what a sight for sore eyes! Has anyone seen the extension they've done at the back? Could've sworn I was transported back to the Ming Dynasty or thereabouts! I wonder what motivates them to invest so much for a place that will at most be on a fixed term lease.
Parrot, I do suggest you take a stroll there sometime soon. I honestly believe you would have a change of heart. In fact, for that short moment I was there, I did half expect wide-eyed ang mohs to be strolling out of the mansion with their Nikons clicking away! A living museum of sorts...
