A more interesting question is whether or not that "ramp to nowhere" towards the south will be integrated into the project. It wouldn't be easy to do it; then again, it would be a waste if it wasn't used (considering it links up to a major roadway).

I wasn't exactly impressed by the restoration works. Call me nitpick but much of the refurbishments on the exterior primarily revolved around repainting, replacement of window fixtures and adaptation of modern amenities, which are still pretty good. Damaged fine plaster cravings and ornamental fixtures were not properly restored, a new hole was cut out on the compound wall on the right wing (despite the fact that there was a more elaborate entrance to the back) while windows in the rear were sealed up, balusters were removed on both sides of the second floor verandah to facilitate air conditioning, massive tarring of the enclosed lawn on the right side of the compound, and a grand entrance at the front which, compared with older photos of the place, was never part of the original design of the compound. The cheap sheet roofing is something I might overlook though.

As hard as the architects of this complex tried, the end result isn't very pretty. The facade is outright inconsistent in complexity with both bland and faux-classicial elements, and the entire building overuses poorly designed domes topped by a huge onion dome in the centre. A prime example of shitty municipal arhitecture of M'sia now.

ini lah satu satu nya masjid yang hidup 24 jam...macam kilang ...ini baru masjid masjid ini tak ada daun pintu ....masjid yang ada pintu susah nak dapat rahmat allah sebab jadi penghalang bagi orang nak beribadat termasuk beritikaf...kalau takut hilang barang berharga jangan jadi kan masjid macam muzium.....belajarlah dengan orang yang mentadbir masjid sri petaling ni....(ada otak tak pandai, ada ilmu tak amak , banyak ber Fatwa Dari berTaqwa...inilah dia umat akhir zaman
