I agree with Public. With three nearby schools - Lai Chee primary school, SMP secondary school (Sekolah Menengah Perempuan Jalan Ipoh) and Chong Hwa Independent High School (one of the best Chinese secondary schools in Kuala Lumpur), they had to raise the rental until their main attraction - Public Book Store 大眾書局 had to move out. Their foodcourt tenants have since moved to Brem Mall Kepong. Despite so, it still goes on with a rather large photography accessory shop (big umbrella lighting deflectors) and a restaurant at ground floor doubling up as a meeting place for Indian immigrant workers to book their air tickets back to India. It is not dead yet possibly due to the bus-stand directly in front of the building and an electronic arcade on the 1st floor. It's essentially a ghost building drawing its last breath. And the main cause for all of these - THE MANAGEMENT!
